The 3-Week Board & Train: Your Dog's Journey to Success
Week 1: Settling In and Building Trust
The first week is all about creating a connection. Your dog will settle into a structured, calm environment where we’ll establish trust, clear expectations and start working on the basics. This is the foundation for everything to come.
Week 2: Focus, Obedience, and Confidence
Now the real work begins. We’ll dive into core obedience skills like recall, leash manners, and impulse control. This week is also about boosting your dog’s confidence and helping them navigate new challenges in a positive way.
Week 3: Refinement and Real-Life Practice
In the final week, we focus on fine-tuning everything your dog has learned. We’ll practice these skills in real-world scenarios to ensure they’re ready to take on life outside the training bubble.

Past Clients
"Picked my girl Millie up tonight. Gabby is so attentive to how your dog will react to you giving her the commands that they learned while she was with them. Pointing out bad habits for both the dog and the owner (yes, you will be trained too!) as well as other family members. Very responsive to questions, trained to what my personal goals were, and sent me home with the supplies needed to further reinforce what Millie learned. So happy I found The Dog Nerd after hearing horror stories about other places in the area!"
- Jessy R.
"Gabby is so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. She takes such care to transfer that knowledge to the owners so they are able to sustain the training that she puts in place!"
- Maggie M.
"My dogs have stayed with Gabby on multiple occasions, and it's always a relief knowing they're in such good hands. Gabby has a way of breaking down difficult concepts in such an understandable way. She is easily the most trustworthy dog trainer in the Frederick area!"
- Alyssa B.
